An American electric vehicle manufacturing company is actively looking for a self-motivated Automotive Technician to join their team. This is a 5-month CT role with potential for extension or conversion. It is 100% onsite at their Fort Wayne, Indiana location and it is Monday-Thursday 7pm-6am shift

As a Field Service Technician, you will be responsible for providing on-site / off-site service, diagnosis, repairs, and installations for Rivian vehicles and related equipment.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Proficient in using hand tools and power tools
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
  • Experience with work order management systems, including repair documentation
  • Physical ability to perform tasks such as sitting, standing, walking, bending, kneeling, carrying, reaching, pushing, pulling, and lifting up to 50 lbs.
  • Minimum age of 21
  • No recent driving suspensions or license revocations (within 3-5 years)
  • Fluent in English (reading and speaking)
  • MVR required

Daily Responsibilities

  • Assist in daily operations, including shuttling vehicles between delivery stations
  • Conduct pre-delivery inspections on new vehicles using documented processes and checklists
  • Document inspection results and communicate findings to team members / supervisors
  • Follow Rivian repair procedures efficiently, maintaining quality and safety
  • Perform diagnosis, repairs, installations, and inspections on vehicles
  • Support vehicle repairs outside of a service center setting
  • Conduct road tests to ensure repair quality
  • Manage parts operations, including ordering, receiving, shipping, and inventory
  • Maintain accurate expense reporting
