American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Operating Room position in a Level 1 Trauma Center, requiring a WA or compact RN license and strong neuro and trauma experience.
\n \n Responsibilities\n
Work in a 25-bed Level 1 Trauma Operating Room within a hospital settingPatient population includes heavy ortho, spine, and neuro cases with no cardiac or transplant casesRotating day and night shifts with varying hours, including weekends and no block schedulingTravelers are expected to be flexible to meet unit needsCases per day range from 60 to 70No floating required outside of the ORElectronic charting system is Epic and experience is requiredPyxis medication dispensing system usedScrubs are provided by the facilityFirst-time travelers will be considered for this positionOrientation includes pre-start modules and an Epic charting module during onsite orientationTravelers are highly preferred to work Christmas; holiday time off is limited to one of three major holidaysTime off requests cannot exceed six days and no requests are allowed during orientation weekWeekend shifts required; Sunday nights are not considered weekend shiftsNo on-call responsibilities for this positionTeam is part of a Magnet-designated, teaching and trauma hospital environmentParking available onsite and at offsite garage with weekday shuttle service\n \n Requirements\n
Active WA or Compact RN license required; pending licenses not acceptedMinimum 2 years of recent Operating Room experience, including Level 1 Trauma and neuroBLS certification requiredStrong circulating skills requiredMust have completed or be willing to complete WA State 6-hour suicide prevention training if using a compact licenseEpic EMR experience requiredCOVID vaccination and booster requiredPass / Fail EKG exam required with an 80% passing scoreMust provide two professional references, preferably supervisoryPrior staff at facility must have an 18-month separation before returning as a traveler\n Benefits\n
