Part-Time Clinical Nurse - Digestive Health

Position Summary :

The Registered Nurse is a vital clinical practitioner who coordinates and delivers exceptional patient care tailored to the age and specific needs of the patient population on the assigned units. This role emphasizes efficient and safe care consistent with the unit's standards. The nurse upholds the mission, philosophy, and goals of both the unit and the organization, demonstrating quality and effectiveness in their work habits and clinical practices. Respectful treatment of staff, physicians, patients, and families is paramount.

Requirements :

Minimum Qualifications :

• Education : Graduate of an accredited program for Registered Nursing.
• Certification / Licenses : Current RN license from New Mexico or a Compact state. BLS Certification is required or must be obtained within 2 weeks of the hire date. Additional required certifications must be secured within 6 months of hire. Existing certifications must be maintained without a grace period for renewal.

The work environment is clean, well-lit, and smoke-free, although circumstances may involve stressful professional relationships. Flexibility in working hours is required due to unexpected schedule changes and emergencies.

Physical Requirements :

Ability to manage emergency situations and crises. This role requires substantial standing, walking, and physical strength to position, push, or transfer patients and equipment. Frequent reaching, bending, kneeling, and crouching is necessary. Strong distance and spatial judgment, color differentiation, and normal or corrected hearing and vision are essential, along with manual dexterity and fine motor coordination.
