Job description

Job Title : QA Automation Engineer

Location : Pleasanton, CA

Job Responsibilities :

  • Conduct comprehensive testing of Point-of-Sale (POS) systems from start to finish.
  • Debug native mobile applications and backend Java stack.
  • Develop automated UI and API tests to maintain consistent quality.
  • Document and communicate bugs, issues, and status with precision and clarity.
  • Prior experience with POS systems is a plus.

Skills Required :

  • Proficiency in testing Point-of-Sale (POS) systems.
  • Expertise in debugging iOS & Android mobile apps.
  • Experience in end-to-end testing across multiple systems, from POS to backend services.
  • Familiarity with testing Spring Boot Java microservices and databases in the Cloud – Microsoft Azure & Oracle Cloud.
  • Ability to create automated UI using Appium framework and automated API tests using Karate framework.
  • Experience with development tools such as Docker, GitHub, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, Android Studio, Xcode, IntelliJ, or VSCode.

    • Additional Skills :

  • Proficiency in debugging through logs or application performance monitoring (APM) tools, such as Google Cloud Logs and New Relic.
  • Ability to create detailed test plans and review with the team.
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills.
  • Experience working in a cross-functional team.
  • Knowledge and experience with software best practices and ability to uphold standards to ensure quality.
