Program Management Lead - Content Transformation

Let's do this. Let's change the world. The PMO Lead - Content Transformation will provide program-level planning, integration, and governance across Global Commercial Capabilities (GCC)'s Content Transformation initiatives, including Data Privacy & Measurement and Content Production & Deployment. This leader will lead a group of related projects as a cohesive program to realize outcomes and benefits not attainable through individual project management alone. They will help to oversee the successful delivery of new enterprise capabilities and operational model, ensuring alignment with organizational strategy, business priorities, and transformation goals.

Acting as the connective link across business, data, and technology functions, the PMO Lead will establish consistent program standards for planning, execution, and performance measurement. Serving as a trusted advisor to senior sponsors and cross-functional partners, this leader will develop clarity, accountability, and decision-making with speed, driving measurable impact and sustained success across all content transformation workstreams.

Governance and Senior Leadership Support

Lead and constantly refine integrated governance across transformation to align priorities with Amgen's enterprise strategy.

Provide senior leadership with weekly status, structured insight into program health and business value delivery, interdependencies, and risk.

Act as a strategic partner to executive sponsors-translating strategic direction into actionable plans and measurable outcomes.

Drive decision-making cadence and alignment by facilitating structured governance forums, including the Cross-Functional Executive Committee and Transformation Steering Committees.

Planning and Program Oversight

Oversee cross-functional delivery across multiple transformation workstreams, ensuring execution rigor, achievement tracking, and dependency management.

Facilitate cross-synchronization sessions with business and tech leads, and leadership readouts to ensure continuity and connection across initiatives.

Maintain comprehensive program documentation, RACI matrices, and decision logs in alignment with program management frameworks.

Partner with leads to anticipate resource needs, surface delivery risks, and recommend mitigations.

Lead quarterly MVP planning sessions across workstreams to provide one comprehensive timeline and roadmap and ensure all relevant partners are informed of outputs.

Financial & Resource Management

Lead financial governance at program-level, ensuring clear insight into budget utilization, vendor performance, and forecast accuracy.

Drive submission preparation and documentation for formal financial approval requests, ensuring accuracy, alignment with business case, and timely delivery. Partner with Finance and cross-functional leads to develop materials and ensure senior leadership is fully briefed and prepared to represent program priorities and funding needs at financial meetings.

Track program budget burn and resource allocation, calling out potential constraints to executive sponsors quickly.

Performance Measurement & Reporting

Establish a standardized reporting framework that integrates KPIs, metrics, and performance dashboards to track transformation progress and outcomes at program-level.

Collaborate with business leads to define measurable success indicators tied to adoption, speed-to-market, savings, and engagement quality, rolling them up to program-level.

Translate operational data into insights for senior leadership to inform prioritization, investment, and change management decisions.

Provide Portfolio Management Office with metrics and updates for reporting.

Ensure program-level KPIs are consistent and delivered on time for QBRs.

Change Management & Communications

Develop and implement program-level change management strategies which incorporate change management needs of all workstreams - securing senior leadership consensus, supporting adoption of new capabilities, processes, and governance practices.

Partner with Cross-Workstream Communications Team to align messaging, timing, and readiness activities across partner groups.

Craft concise executive narratives to communicate program outcomes, breakthroughs, and decisions across the global enterprise.

Operational Excellence & Risk Management

Maintain a centralized risk and issue register with defined escalation pathways and accountability owners.

Conduct quarterly retrospectives and continuous improvement sessions to refine PMO operations and decision frameworks.

Ensure consistent application of program management standards across planning, execution, and governance documentation.

Promote a culture of operational rigor, clarity, and proactive problem-solving across transformation teams.

This role is central to Amgen's ability to deliver transformation with structure, clarity, and measurable value.
