RN Float

Summary of Position : The Float Nurse is responsible for direct patient care. Position is Monday-Friday 8 : 00AM - 4 : 30PM.

Education and Experience :

1. Graduation from an approved School of Nursing.

2. Current RN licensure in the State of Ohio and the eligibility to obtain licensure in the State of Indiana or current RN licensure in the State of Indiana and the eligibility to obtain licensure in the State of Ohio.

3. Minimum of two years of experience in Medical / Surgical, Oncology or community health nursing.

4. Hospice experience preferred.

Special Skills and Requirements :

1. Shall have a valid driver's license.

2. Excellent customer service skills.

3. Detail oriented with excellent communication, documentation, and organizational skills.

4. Ability to follow instructions.

5. Ability to work independently without supervision.

6. Travel to other sites as needed. Travel may be in inclement weather.

7. Ability to lift 25 lbs. of supplies or equipment.

8. Requires various amounts of sitting, standing, twisting, turning, bending, lifting and walking. Ability to assist with patient care activities such as ambulation, transfers, and positioning.

Routine Home care Visits
