Job Description

This position is responsible for promoting and selling premium concrete hardscape products—including pavers, retaining walls, slabs, and related accessories—to landscape architects, designers, contractors, distributors, and end users. The ideal candidate combines a deep understanding of the sales process with an eye for design, a passion for outdoor living solutions, and the ability to build long-term relationships within the green industry.

Key Responsibilities :

Strategic Sales & Territory Development

  • Devise and execute effective territory sales and marketing strategies tailored to the landscape design and hardscape construction market.
  • Identify and target key customer segments, including landscape architects, contractors, and design-build firms.
  • Analyze territory and customer data to identify trends, drive efficiencies, and refine the go-to-market approach.

Customer Engagement & Relationship Building

  • Develop trusted relationships with new and existing clients by understanding their needs and offering tailored solutions.
  • Conduct in-person meetings, site visits, and presentations to address customer concerns and deliver product education.
  • Perform service calls for contractors or homeowners to assist with product selection, installation concerns, or troubleshooting.
  • Sales Growth & Opportunity Generation

  • Conduct ongoing market research to uncover new sales opportunities and emerging trends in outdoor living and hardscape design.
  • Present the company’s full portfolio of concrete products and services to prospective customers and project stakeholders.
  • Attend and represent the company at trade shows, networking events, and industry functions to generate leads and foster partnerships.
  • Training & Support

  • Educate customers and partners on product specifications, design applications, installation techniques, and maintenance.
  • Provide in-field product training to dealer networks and contractor partners to promote confidence and loyalty.
  • Performance Monitoring & Reporting

  • Track sales activities, pipeline development, and account growth using our CRM platform.
  • Monitor competitor activity and report market intelligence from the field.
  • Evaluate sales performance against KPIs, and prepare weekly reports for leadership review.
  • Qualifications & Skills :

  • Proven track record of increasing sales and revenue in a field sales or business development role; experience in the building materials, landscape, or construction industry is a strong plus.
  • Ability to develop strategic sales plans and execute them with minimal supervision.
  • Comfortable presenting to and negotiating with contractors, designers, and high-end clientele.
  • Proficient in using CRM tools (experience with [insert system if known] preferred).
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple accounts, priorities, and deadlines.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office products, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Creative problem-solver with a customer-first mindset and a passion for design-focused products.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Landscape Architecture, or a related field preferred.
  • Additional Information :

  • This position requires regular travel within the assigned territory.
  • Occasional overnight travel may be required for trade shows, training, or customer events.
