Our client is seeking an experienced Controller to oversee daily accounting operations within a mortgage banking environment. This role is central to accurate financial reporting strong internal controls and GAAP compliance. Key Responsibilities

• Supervise accounting staff and ensure accuracy timeliness and compliance with policies.
• Manage daily accounting operations including A / P A / R reconciliations deposits wires and expense tracking.
• Oversee accounting for related entities including intercompany activity and consolidated reporting.
• Maintain structured dailyannual accounting routines and organizational systems.
• Manage cash flow capitalization budgeting and spending controls.
• Develop and enforce accounting policies procedures and quality control systems.
• Maintain professional relationships with bankers attorneys CPAs and regulatory agencies.
• Monitor and report company performance including P&L forecasts and capitalization metrics.
• Provide insights to enhance cash management reporting operational performance and KPIs.
• Manage trust accounts for all loan-related transactions.
• Lead month-end close GL work reconciliations and KPI reporting.
• Conduct financial analyses for investment pricing and contract decisions.
• Ensure compliance with all mortgage banking regulatory requirements including BSA / AML.
• Monitor daily account balances anticipate funding needs and ensure adequate coverage.
• Partner with CPA on tax returns audits and extension filings.
• Oversee treasury operations including funding sweeping and warehouse bank settlements.
• Monitor warehouse lines and loan funding based on cost of funds capacity and cash availability.
