We are seeking an experienced lineman / electrician to join the QE MV Services team. The successful candidate will be responsible for construction, maintenance, and repair of MV distribution equipment including but not limited to MV / LV switchgear, cable, transformers, overhead switches, meter clusters, reclosers, and protection and control systems, including SEL devices. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise and background in solar / BESS interconnection and associated overhead and underground equipment. This role includes significant travel across the northeast with occasional national travel.

Essential Duties

• Perform installation, repair, and maintenance of medium voltage interconnection systems
• Assist as needed with functional testing and various troubleshooting tasks
• Ensure that all equipment is installed and commissioned in accordance with manufacturer's instructions and industry standards
• Troubleshoot and repair any issues that arise during commissioning
• Maintain accurate records of progress, repairs, and maintenance activities in the field
• Provide technical support to other field personnel during installation and commissioning
• Communicate effectively with project managers, clients, site owners and other stakeholders
• Operate trucks, bucket trucks, digger derricks, and construction equipment
• Maintain tools, vehicles, and materials
