- Responsibilities & Duties
- Draft, revise, and negotiate equipment lease and rental agreements for new and existing customers.
- Provide legal advice and support to PLM Fleet on various legal issues, including contracts, employment, intellectual property, real estate, mergers and acquisitions, and regulatory compliance.
- Prepare corporate governance documents, such as resolutions, and member meeting minutes. Maintain corporate records.
- Draft and review non-disclosure and confidentiality agreements, contracts, service agreements, and other legal documents.
- Draft, revise, and negotiate branch real property leases for new and existing branch locations.
- Retain and manage outside counsel for individual matters or litigation.
- Manage defense counsel assigned by the Company’s insurance carriers for litigation.
- Prepare discovery responses and assist assigned counsel in litigation strategy, mediation, and settlement.
- Support outside counsel handling trademark and patent filings and renewals.
- Conduct legal research and analyze complex legal issues.
- Stay up to date on changes in relevant laws and regulations.
- Provide training and guidance to functional departments on legal matters.
- Assist and advise Risk Management and Operations regarding insurance damage and total loss claims.
- Required Qualifications & Skills
- Experience in equipment leasing, fleet leasing or financial services industry work.
- Experience with contracts, real property leases, governance, and regulatory compliance.
- Experience with corporate governance including board meetings and corporate resolutions.
- Experience with employment laws and regulations.
- Working knowledge of patent and trademark law.
- Strong research, writing, and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to analyze complex legal issues and provide clear and concise advice.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think creatively.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work well in a team environment.
- Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school.
- Admission to a state bar in good standing. xuwmhxw
- Minimum of 7-10 years of experience.
Job Type : Full-time
Pay : $175,000.00 - $190,000.00 per year
