About the Role
The Company is seeking a Head of Security and Technical Operations to join their dynamic team. This critical leadership role is focused on ensuring the security and reliability of the company's platform. The successful candidate will be responsible for building and leading a team that encompasses security operations (SecOps) and technical operations (NOC / SRE-lite). As the chief incident commander, the role involves end-to-end security posture management, from threat detection to incident response, and applying the same operational rigor to technical incidents. The ideal candidate will have a hands-on approach, be passionate about building resilient systems, and demonstrate extreme ownership in protecting the platform and customers.
Applicants for the Head of Security and Technical Operations position at the company should have 7-10+ years of combined, hands-on experience in security operations, incident response, and / or technical operations / SRE, with a minimum of 2 years in a formal people management role. The role requires deep expertise in modern security operations within a cloud-native environment, including threat detection, SIEM, SOAR, and EDR / MDR tooling. Technical operations expertise should include experience in incident management for non-security events and managing a 24 / 7 technical operations / NOC function. The candidate must possess strong leadership and soft skills, a calm and methodical demeanor, and a player-coach mentality. Familiarity with compliance frameworks such as SOC 2 or ISO 27001 is also essential. The Head of Security and Technical Operations will be responsible for team leadership, security operations strategy, technical operations, incident management, and driving a culture of continuous improvement.
