Certified Medical Coder

A company is looking for a Medical Coder (Profee E&M). Key Responsibilities Review and evaluate clinical and demographic information from medical records for accurate code selection Select CPT / HCPCS and ICD-10 codes with correct sequencing to ensure accuracy and maximum reimbursement Investigate and resolve coding-related system edits, rejections, and insurance denials Required Qualifications Certified Professional Coder (CPC) or Certified Coding Specialist (CCS) license required; RHIT or RHIA accepted Minimum two (2) years of professional or facility coding experience Must remain current on coding guidelines and complete mandatory continuing education High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor's degree preferred
