Gastroenterology Locums Job in Colorado 24 Hour Call February-March

Schedule needed for Assignment :

24 hour call

February 14 (7am) - 21 (7am)

March 14 (7am) - 21 (7am)

Job Requirements :

Board Certified Gastroenterology - required or truly Board Eligible (0-5 years of fellowship completion with BC in Internal Medicine)

Active Colorado License - required or IMLC (LOQ in hand at time of submission)

Active Colorado DEA - required for credentialing

Candidate must be available for any of the dates detailed in the job description

Candidate must be able to perform ERCP

Must acknowledge you understand the call is handled at two locations concurrently.

Clean Malpractice / background - highly preferred

Job Details :

Shifts are 24 hour call - Friday (7am) - Friday (7am) every other week

Setting : Inpatient Trauma Level II

Required Procedures / Job Duties : ERCP & General GI butter cases

EMR : EPIC

Reason for Coverage : No GI Service

Must be able to perform ERCP

Average daily census of 15-25 patients. Some days will be under 10, some days >

30.

There is anesthesia support, no need for conscious sedation.

Hospitalists admits patients.

Average ER calls / consults in 24 hours is 10-12. Average consults from admitted patients in 24 hours (Surgeons or hospitalists) : 4-5 per day, average transferring over 7 days

Average daily procedures on inpatients : 5-8

1-2 ERCPs per day (of the 5-8 procedures above)

Coverage beyond April is TBD, based on how well the team feels it works with the locum support.

Average callback hours : Weekday : 15 hours, Weekend 9 hours
