We are currently seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead and support our Water and Wastewater group in Denver, Colorado ! This role is ideal for a seasoned professional with a passion for delivering high-quality infrastructure solutions and mentoring project teams.
Our Water / Wastewater services span the full project lifecycle-from conceptual planning through design, permitting, financing, construction, and commissioning. Projects may include :
- Wastewater : Treatment plant design and studies, collection system assessments, pump and lift stations, process modeling, and permitting.
- Potable Water : Treatment plant design and studies, raw and potable water distribution systems, booster stations, hydraulic modeling, and permitting.
Key Responsibilities
Project Management
Develop scopes of work, budgets, and contracts for complex infrastructure projects.Lead multidisciplinary teams to deliver projects on time and within budget.Conduct project kickoff and status meetings; monitor progress and adjust plans as needed.Oversee QA / QC processes and ensure technical excellence across all deliverables.Supervise and mentor project staff; provide performance feedback and development guidance.Serve as the primary client contact; manage expectations and resolve issues proactively.Support construction administration, including contractor coordination and field oversight.Prepare and issue change orders, respond to RFIs, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.Business Development
Identify and pursue new business opportunities with existing and prospective clients.Lead proposal development, including technical approach, staffing, and pricing.Represent the firm in client meetings, interviews, and industry events.Collaborate with marketing and leadership to develop strategic growth plans.Cross-sell services across business lines and geographic regions.Client & Team Communication
Maintain strong, ongoing relationships with clients throughout and beyond project completion.Ensure timely invoicing and assist with collections as needed.Maintain clear and consistent communication with internal teams, clients, contractors, and subconsultants.Qualifications
Education & Experience
Bachelor's degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering (Master's preferred).Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in water / wastewater engineering; 15+ years preferred.Proven track record of managing complex municipal infrastructure projects.Strong technical background in water and wastewater treatment and conveyance systems.Skills & Competencies
Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.Ability to manage multiple projects and teams simultaneously.Demonstrated success in business development and client relationship management.Familiarity with local, state, and federal permitting and regulatory processes.Proficient in project management tools and engineering software.Licenses & Certifications
Must possess a current Professional Engineer (P.E.) license in Colorado or ability to obtain within 6 months.Valid driver's license and ability to travel to project sites and client meetings.Why Join Us?
