Contract Administrator
At Houston Methodist, the Contract Administrator position is responsible for managing the contracts across area of responsibility as assigned. This position presents contract recommendations for cost savings and operational efficiencies. The Contract Administration works closely with contracting, sourcing, legal, value analysis, group purchasing organizations, end users, and suppliers. This position identifies opportunities, drives consensus, and implements contracts.

Responsibilities include :
Responds to all communications from internal / external customers within defined service level agreement.Meets with assigned departments at least quarterly.Partners with key stakeholders to complete product and service implementations.Leads in request for proposal processes and manages bid process.Coordinates meetings with distributors, vendors, and service providers.Responsible for audits of contract performance.Performs maintenance / distribution of contract modifications.Evaluates and prioritizes existing contracts for opportunities to improve contract benefits and reduce costs.Research and analyze GPO contracts and market information.Ensures contract compliance with terms and conditions.Negotiates contract pricing, terms, and conditions.Review current and existing contracts to identify additional value add.Identify areas of contract opportunity to increase contract penetration and reduce costs.Assumes responsibility for own professional development.This job description is not intended to be all-inclusive; the employee will also perform other reasonably related business / job duties as assigned. Qualifications include :
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business or related field required.Five years of experience in contracting and supply chain; for internal employees four years of experience.Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities include :
Demonstrates the skills and competencies necessary to safely perform the assigned job.Sufficient proficiency in speaking, reading, and writing the English language.Ability to communicate effectively with patients, physicians, family members, and co-workers.Ability to work with complex legal documents.Ability to manage large volumes of contracts.Ability to conduct due diligence of contract details.Ability to perform in a self-directed, fast-paced environment.Ability to initiate and facilitate problem-solving processes.Knowledge of medical / surgical supplies and equipment is desirable.Demonstrated competency in Microsoft Office products.Supplemental requirements include :
