Position Overview
The Radiation Therapist delivers radiation therapy treatments in accordance with physician prescriptions and established clinical protocols. This entry-level role provides an opportunity to grow within a highly collaborative and mission-driven team. The ideal candidate demonstrates professionalism, accuracy, and compassion in patient interactions and treatment delivery. .
Key Responsibilities
Administer radiation therapy to patients per physician prescription and standard practice guidelinesMonitor patient safety and ensure compliance with all regulatory and quality standardsMaintain timely and accurate documentation of treatment records, imaging, and technical parametersManage supplies and equipment efficiently and report service needsProvide exceptional patient care and customer service in all interactionsPerform other job duties as assignedQualifications
Education & Experience
Completion of a formal Radiation Therapy education program accredited by a mechanism acceptable to the ARRT0-3 years of clinical experience in radiation therapyLicensure & Certification
Certification and registration as a Radiation Therapist - R.T.(T), ARRTBasic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association requiredNote : New graduates without ARRT certification must obtain registry within one year of graduation from an approved programSkills & Abilities
Basic knowledge of radiographic and radiation therapy equipment and proceduresFamiliarity with radiology systems such as RIS, HIS, and PACS preferredEffective communication and teamwork skillsAttention to detail and adherence to safety and quality standardsWhy West Cancer Center is a Great Place to Work
