JRI's Community Based Services division provides care to ensure that families and their children with significant behavioral, emotional, and mental health needs obtain the services necessary for success in the home, school, and community. In this position with the GLASS team you will be able to convey your passion for helping others by supporting this mission. Our staff provide services in the communities where the people we serve live, utilizing strength-based and needs-driven choices, offering a team-based approach collaboration with the people we work with that is grounded in culturally competent, individualized services and the use of evidence-based practices.

JRI's Boston GLASS program is dedicated to providing a continuum of services to LGBTQIA+ youth of color and their allies in the Greater Boston and Greater Framingham areas. As an intern in LGBTQIA+ youth services, we also provide education and consultation to other providers and community organizations. Our interns work with a multidisciplinary team, community partners, and individuals to support LGBTQIA+ rights, needs, growth and well-being in a variety of forms everyday.

During Your Internship You Will :

  • Learn how to use new clinical interventions to support youth and families.
  • Explore your clinical knowledge through use of evidence based and culturally competent modalities
  • Strengthen your documentation skills and use of electronic medical records.
  • Be an integral part of a multidisciplinary team supporting youth and families.

  • Supervision from licensed and experienced staff to provide necessary hours and clinical growth towards degree completion.
  • Requirements :

  • Minimum working towards a Master's degree or above in the mental health field (LCSW, LICSW, LMHC or LMFT).
  • Clinical interest in working with children / adolescents is required and familiarity with trauma informed models of treatment preferred.
  • Good written and oral communication skills are necessary.
  • Background and driving record checks will be performed.
