Job description

PHYSICAL THERAPIST

Metropolitan Therapy Service - Queens, NY

Flexible Per Diem & Contract Assignments

Rate : $73 / hour

Duties and Responsibilities :

  • Provide clinical services as a Licensed Physical Therapist to appropriate patients / residents.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality regarding all patient, facility, and physician-related information.
  • Supervise and provide guidance to Physical Therapist Assistants as needed.
  • Document all care provided and complete accurate billing and coding.
  • Participate in interdisciplinary meetings to share clinical findings and recommendations.
  • Attend and participate in family meetings as appropriate.
  • Comply with all documentation standards required by the Rehabilitation Department and the facility
  • Conduct staff education / training through formal and informal in-services and consultations

    Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy (or equivalent from an accredited program)
  • Valid NYS Physical Therapist License with at least 1 year of clinical experience.
  • Knowledge of accreditation standards and compliance with state and federal regulations,
  • Familiarity with Rehab Optima and / or Epic EMR systems is preferred
