Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an Interventional Radiology Technologist for a Cath Lab / IR Tech contract requiring ARRT or RCIS certification and at least 2 years of experience.
Responsibilities
Position is in an Interventional Radiology / Cath Lab department within an acute care hospitalLevel II Trauma facility with 360 staffed bedsDay shift schedule, 4x10 hour shifts, from 7 : 00 AM to 5 : 30 PMCaseload ranges from 8-12 cases per shiftWeekend call required one full weekend per monthOn-call required, 15 shifts per month, with STEMI call response required within 30 minutesNo floating between like units required though floating within the hospital or to an affiliate hospital nearby may occurScrubs are providedUses Cerner and McKesson charting systemsDuties include supporting cath lab and interventional radiology procedures in a Level II trauma environmentSTEMI call team participation is required with a two-hour call back guaranteeModules and annual hospital education are completed via Relias / Net Learning portalReturn staff must have not worked at the facility for at least one year to be consideredScrubs are provided and must be worn per department policyNo accommodation for block schedulingRequirements
Current ARRT + MD state license or RCIS certification required; license required if applicableBLS and ACLS certifications requiredMinimum of 2 years of recent Interventional Radiology or Cath Lab experience requiredAbility to respond to STEMI calls within 30 minutesMust complete hospital-required modules during orientation and annuallyStrict no-tobacco policy with nicotine drug screen requiredMust be able to provide two supervisor references for considerationBenefits
