Job Title : CT TechnologistJob Specialty : Diagnostic ImagingJob Duration : PermanentShift : 8-hour evenings, 3pm-11 : 30pm, Monday-Friday with every 5th-6th weekend and holiday rotationGuaranteed Hours : 24 hours per weekExperience : Previous experience in CT preferred, but not requiredLicense : Licensed with the State Board of HealthCertifications : - CT certification - Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart AssociationMust-Have : Ability and knowledge of imaging various anatomical structures- Ability to lift 50 lbs, with 100 lbs shared lifting- Excellent verbal and written communication skills- Working knowledge of general computer skills and applications- Ability to multi-task and work independently using critical thinking skills- Must be able to take callJob Description : Operate CT scanners and perform CT procedures in accordance with department policies and procedures- Work together with physicians to conduct a variety of specialized CT procedures- Set up and adjust equipment to perform diagnostic procedures- Position patients to obtain images of the area of interest, respecting the patient's ability and comfort- Obtain appropriate patient information for the procedure being completed- Provide radiation protection to the patient, technologist, and anyone else in the area, utilizing personal protective equipment and other guidelines as needed- Recognize emergent situations and activate assistance as needed- Assist other areas and shifts as neededBenefits : Employees enjoy comprehensive and competitive benefits including healthcare, dental, and vision insurance, flexible spending accounts, life and disability insurance, a retirement contribution plan, and a paid time off program.
