Job Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced Emergency Department RN for night shifts in California, requiring an active CA RN license and 2 years of recent ER experience.

Responsibilities

  • Position is in the Emergency Department of a hospital
  • Night shift schedule with three 12-hour shifts per week from 7 : 00 pm to 7 : 30 am
  • Patient population includes emergency and trauma cases
  • Weekend shifts are included in the rotation
  • Uses Epic charting system, with prior experience preferred
  • Role involves rapid response to a variety of emergency situations
  • Must complete required online modules during orientation, with duration based on specialty
  • Holiday time off requests are limited to one holiday per contract
  • Local candidates are accepted at a local pay rate
  • All certifications must be current and in hand at the time of consideration

    • Requirements

  • Active and current CA RN license required
  • Minimum of 2 years recent ER nursing experience required
  • Certifications required : BLS, ACLS, and PALS (AHA or American Red Cross)
  • Must be able to provide two supervisor references obtained within the last year
  • Must be available for lab work within 3-5 days of signing
  • Must be out of the facility for at least 1 year if previously employed or traveled there
  • Must reside at least 50 miles from the facility for travel position eligibility
