Summary :
RN Addiction Care Coordinator (RN ACC) directly provides nursing care to patients with Behavioral Health disorders including Substance Use Disorders (SUDs) guided by the knowledge of the basic principles of nursing. Based on the biological, physical, and psycho-social sciences, the RN ACC assesses the patient's health, physical, and psychosocial status and facilitates development, implementation, coordination, and evaluation of a patient's individualized treatment plan. The RN ACC ensures timely, system-wide access to comprehensive, quality healthcare for patients with diagnosis of SUDs. The RN ACC validates that services and documentation comply with hospital, CMS, TJC and ODH regulations.
Minimum Qualifications :
1. Formal Education Required :
a. Bachelor's of Science in Nursing (BSN)
b. Graduate of a program of professional nursing that is accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE) or Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN)
c. Current license to practice registered nursing in the State of Ohio
2. Experience & Training Required :
a. Two (2) years in nursing care relevant to addiction medicine, behavioral health, or emergency medicine population preferred
b. Must attain nonviolent crisis intervention certification (NCVI) within 6 months of employment and maintain certification thereafter.
c. Maintains current Basic Life Support Certification.
d. Must complete training in Motivational Interviewing within 6 months of employment.
3. Other Skills, Competencies and Qualifications :
a. Ability to work independently, prioritize and problem solve.
b. Ability to participate in public speaking opportunities and educational presentations related to their role and SH's addiction services.
c. Must be self-directed and able to provide critical thinking skills to complex cases
d. Must be able to work as a part of a multidisciplinary team.
e. Ability to effectively interact with populations of patients / customers with an understanding of their needs for self-respect and dignity.
f. Demonstrated interest and ability to work with Behavioral Health and Substance Use Disorder patients in varying stages of recovery.
g. Ability to collaborate with and coordinate a multidisciplinary team

The salary range on this job posting / advertising is base salary exclusive of any bonuses or differentials.
