Post Cardiac Cath and Post Angiogram experience required

Experience with required drips such as heparin, cardizem, amiodarone, dobutamine, dopamine, and nitro

Telemetry experience is required

Description :

The position involves working in an orthopedic-telemetry unit with a focus on adult and geriatric patient populations.

This unit typically manages a mix of inpatient and observation cases with an average turnaround of 36 hours or less.

Patients may present with acute myocardial infarctions, unstable angina, congestive heart failure, unstable arrhythmias, and surgical cases related to cerebrovascular accidents.

Experience with procedures such as cardioversion, thoracentesis, bone marrow biopsy, chest tube insertion, central line insertion, and paracentesis is preferred but not required.

The RN will typically manage a patient ratio of 5 : 1, which may increase to 6 : 1 or 7 : 1 during high-staffing needs.

Every other weekend coverage is required, along with the ability to float within the scope of practice to meet facility needs.

All applicants must be open to accommodating blocked schedule requests, and it is requested to limit holiday requests to no more than one of the three major holidays.

Candidates must demonstrate working proficiency with required drips and may participate in various advanced procedures.

A strong commitment to patient care and team collaboration is essential for this role.
