Summary :

The Registered Nurse (RN) in the Float Pool operates independently in Medsurg or Telemetry settings, skillfully managing routine and complex patient care in alignment with treatment plans. This role emphasizes continual professional development and effective handling of clinical challenges.

Responsibilities :

• Demonstrates leadership within personal, team, or organizational contexts as per OneCHRISTUS Competencies.
• Flexibly adapts to diverse assignments within the healthcare ministry.
• Consistently communicates availability for assignments.
• May be assigned to multiple units as needed.
• Utilizes the nursing process—assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation—to deliver optimal patient care.
• Identifies and addresses complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families.
• Administers medications and treatments as per protocols, monitoring for side effects and effectiveness.
• Maintains accurate documentation of patient histories, symptoms, medications, and care provided.
• Assesses and educates patients and families on healthcare resources and needs.
