Job description

Internal Medicine / Family Medicine Physician Opportunity Near LONG ISLAND CITY, NY

Job Summary :

We are actively seeking a dedicated Internal Medicine or Family Medicine trained physician to join our healthcare team, contributing to the delivery of high-quality patient care in the Long Island City, NY area.

Responsibilities :

  • Comprehensive Primary Care :

Provide a full scope of primary care services, including diagnosis, treatment, coordination of care, preventive care, and health maintenance.

  • Patient Evaluation :

    • Review patients history and perform physical examinations.

  • Evaluate, diagnose, and provide appropriate treatment and patient care.
  • Refer patients to specialists as needed.
  • Clinical Diagnostics :

    • Provide quality clinical diagnostic skills in the delivery of patient care.

  • Review all test results and recommend suitable management for the patient, including preventive health recommendations and habits.
  • Prescription and Management :

    • Prescribe medications and formulate ongoing treatment and disease management plans.

  • Relationship-Centered Care :

    • Provide relationship-centered care, considering the patients psychosocial and physical needs.

  • Documentation and Communication :

    • Collect and record patient information, maintaining complete and accurate medical records.

  • Communicate effectively with the clinical team to ensure the total delivery of quality care.
  • Education and Collaboration :

    • Participate in medical staff educational programs and meetings.

    Qualifications :

  • Medical Degree : Doctor of Medicine (MD), Doctor of Osteopathy (DO), or foreign equivalent.
  • Residency : Completion of a three-year postgraduate medical training from a U.S. accredited residency program in Internal Medicine and / or Family Medicine.
  • Experience : Open to both experienced and newly trained providers.
  • Certification : Board Eligible / Board Certified in Internal Medicine and / or Family Medicine.
  • Licensure : Must possess a current, unrestricted New York State license or be eligible for licensure.
  • Registration : Must possess active Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) registration or be eligible for registration.
  • Enrollment : Must possess active Medicare / Medicaid Enrollment or be eligible to enroll.
  • Certification : BLS or ACLS strongly preferred.
  • Communication Skills : Strong communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Technology Comfort : Comfortable with Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems and Microsoft Office.

    • Medical Office Hours of Operation :

  • Monday-Wednesday : 8 : 00 AM 6 : 00 PM
  • Thursday : 8 : 00 AM 8 : 00 PM
  • Friday : 8 : 00 AM 5 : 00 PM
