Job description

A Day in the Life

As a Sr. Director of Enterprise Accounts (DEA), you will establish trusted partnerships with our most important customers, develop Administrative and C‑Suite relationships, and drive Medtronic product and service revenue. You will build specific strategies that leverage Medtronic’s portfolio, deliver unique value, and negotiate national contracting across portfolios to align and execute enterprise‑level agreements. You will also understand each account’s strategic priorities and provide solutions that meet customer needs.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain Medtronic’s business strategic relationship at the Senior / C‑Suite level, ensuring co‑developed account plans and solutions are executed.
  • Build and lead high‑performance account teams and manage operating mechanisms.
  • Create account / customer plans for targeted strategic accounts that deliver growth objectives, financial targets, and significant customer value.
  • Collaborate with local OUs, Service & Solutions, and other stakeholders to lead change and maximize opportunities.
  • Accountable for pricing and tender management, achievement of KPI’s, AOP planning & execution.
  • Maintain up‑to‑date account plans in SFDC and prepare progress reports, participating in quarterly business reviews.
  • Identify opportunities to leverage Medtronic’s capabilities to help customers optimize cost and outcomes, increase patient access, and improve efficiencies.

Must Haves Experiences

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, science, medicine or equivalent.
  • Minimum 15 years of sales experience (or 8 years with an advanced degree) and business management experience in senior, complex roles.
  • Experience in a regulated industry (Medical Device, Healthcare, or Pharma) within a multinational, matrix environment.
  • Ability to travel up to 50% of the time.

  • Deep customer & market knowledge of Medtronic’s portfolio and trends; strategic acumen to close long‑term value‑added deals.
  • Leadership and relationship management : establish long‑term strategic alliances with C‑Suite and internal / external stakeholders; agility in large‑scale change.
  • Non‑clinical stakeholder management : engage administration decision‑makers, articulate value propositions, and build long‑term partnerships.
  • Value co‑creation and delivery : co‑create customized offerings, accelerate growth, improve customer experience through Service & Solutions and OUs.
  • Project management : manage large, complex projects and negotiate cooperation among diverse stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication, influencing, collaboration, and problem‑solving skills.

  • Benefits & Compensation

    Medtronic offers a competitive salary and flexible benefits package. Salary ranges for U.S. locations (excluding Puerto Rico) are $220,000 – $240,000. This position is eligible for an annual long‑term incentive plan and a Sales Incentive Plan (SIP). The base salary range varies by experience, education, market conditions, and location.

    Benefits available to 20+ hour employees include Health, Dental, Vision, Health Savings Account, Healthcare Flexible Spending Account, Life insurance, Long‑term disability leave, Dependent daycare spending account, Tuition assistance / reimbursement, and a global well‑being program.

    Benefits for all regular employees include Incentive plans, 401(k) with employer match, Short‑term disability, Paid time off, Paid holidays, Employee Stock Purchase Plan, Employee Assistance Program, Non‑qualified Retirement Plan Supplement, and Capital Accumulation Plan (eligible for VP and above).

    Regular employees are not temporary; temporary staff are eligible for paid sick time and the Employee Stock Purchase Plan. Some benefits may not apply to Puerto Rico.
