25 / 26 School Year : Speech and Language Pathologist

Job Overview : Utilize current practices and methods of speech / language assessment and therapy for students ages 3-21 in the educational setting.

Job Functions :

• Adhere to all Special Education federal and state rules and regulations pertaining to the referral, identification, and placement of students with communication disorders within the educational setting.
• Participate as a team member in comprehensive evaluations and reevaluations.
• Provide communication therapy in a variety of settings.
• Consult with parents, teachers, administrators, and others concerning the needs of students with communication disorders.
• Participate in the development and implementation of student IEPs.
• Perform other work-related duties as assigned.
• Adaptability to performing a variety of duties, often changing from one task to another of a different nature without loss of efficiency or composure.
• Adaptability to accepting responsibility for the direction, control, or planning of an activity.
• Adaptability to dealing with students.
• Adaptability to generalize, evaluations, or decisions based on sensory or judgmental criteria.
