Inpatient Gastroenterologist – Locum

Des Moines, IA | $3,910 / 24-Hr On Call | ERCP Required | Start October 2025

Start Date : October 2025 – Ongoing

Setting : Inpatient | Hospital-Based GI Coverage

Schedule : 24-Hour On Call (7 : 00 AM – 7 : 00 AM)

Track : Locum to Perm

Population : Adults only

Position Overview

A well-established health system in Des Moines, Iowa is seeking a Board Certified or Eligible Gastroenterologist for a locum-to-perm inpatient position. This role includes comprehensive GI coverage with ERCP required and EUS highly preferred, all within a 24-hour call model.

Role Details

• Perform 3–4 outpatient procedures / day
• Manage inpatient consults and GI procedures
• Provide ERCP services – Required
• Perform EUS procedures – Highly Preferred
• EMR : Cerner

Candidate Requirements

Board Certified or Truly Board Eligible (within 3 years of residency)

Active Iowa License or IMLC – Required

ACLS Certification – Required

COVID Vaccination – Required

Clean malpractice and background – Preferred

Comfortable with inpatient hospital-based work – Required

24-Hour On Call Rate : $3,519.00 / Call-back $508 / hr
