Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) - Outpatient Clinic (Experienced Traveler Contract)
Location : Manchester, NH

- Setting : Multidisciplinary Outpatient Wellness Clinic (co-located with PT / OT).
- Patient Population Focus : Primarily Adults with Voice, Cognitive, and Dysphagia disorders (though clinic serves all ages).
- Schedule : Full-Time (40 hours / week). Mixed Shifts : Monday / Wednesday 9 : 00 AM - 7 : 00 PM; Tuesday / Thursday / Friday 8 : 00 AM - 3 : 30 PM.
- Call / Float / Weekend : None required.
- EMR System : Epic
- Experience Required : Minimum 2 years post-licensure SLP experience. First-time travelers are NOT accepted for this role.
- Local Candidate Policy : Travelers residing within 50 miles are accepted but may be subject to a rate reduction.
- Exclusion : Former employees of this particular health system are not eligible for this contract position, regardless of separation date or previous role.
- Vaccination Requirements : COVID-19 vaccine required (Medical / Religious Exemptions considered per policy). Flu vaccine status unknown.
Position Summary :
Virtus Healthcare Staffing is seeking an experienced Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) for a full-time contract assignment based in our partner's multidisciplinary outpatient clinic located in Manchester, NH . This role requires a clinician with a strong background (minimum 2 years experience) primarily focused on evaluating and treating adult patients presenting with voice disorders, cognitive-communication deficits, and dysphagia. Enjoy a consistent schedule with no weekend, call, or floating requirements. Please note : This opportunity is exclusively for experienced SLPs (2+ years), and individuals who have previously been employed by this health system are ineligible.
Key Responsibilities :
Conduct comprehensive diagnostic evaluations for adult outpatients experiencing difficulties with speech, language, cognition, voice, fluency, and swallowing.Develop, implement, and adapt individualized, evidence-based Plans of Care to address patient-specific goals related to communication and swallowing function.Provide skilled therapeutic interventions for a variety of conditions, including Aphasia, Apraxia, Dysarthria, Dysphagia, Voice Disorders, cognitive impairments resulting from Stroke (CVA), Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI), Dementia, or Progressive Neurological Diseases, and Fluency / Stuttering disorders.Perform thorough bedside swallow evaluations, make appropriate diet texture / liquid consistency recommendations, and instruct on compensatory swallowing techniques.Utilize standardized assessment tools and clinical expertise to measure progress and outcomes.Provide effective patient and family education regarding communication strategies, swallowing precautions, compensatory techniques, and home exercise programs.Complete accurate, timely, and compliant documentation (including for Medicare) using the Epic EMR system.Conduct patient screenings as necessary.Collaborate effectively with physicians, other therapists (PT / OT), and relevant healthcare providers.Required Qualifications :
Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Sciences and Disorders from an accredited program.Current and unrestricted New Hampshire State License in Speech-Language Pathology.Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA).Minimum of two (2) years of verifiable experience working as a licensed Speech Language Pathologist.Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.Demonstrated experience and clinical competency in evaluating and treating adult populations with voice, cognitive-communication, and swallowing disorders (dysphagia).Must NOT be a former employee of this specific health system.Must meet the facility's COVID-19 vaccination requirement (Medical / Religious exemptions reviewed per policy).Preferred Qualifications :
Proficiency using the Epic electronic medical record system.Experience with assessing and treating patients requiring Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) devices.Experience evaluating / treating patients status post Laryngectomy or Tracheotomy.Experience with or knowledge related to Modified Barium Swallow Studies (MBSS).Experience treating individuals with Multiple Sclerosis or other progressive neurological conditions.To Apply :
