Patient Types / Common Diagnoses : o Respiratory, Trauma (which includes penetrating and non-accidental trauma, NAT), DKA, Seizures, Neurosurgical, Acute / Chronic Renal Failure, Orthopedic, Surgical, Transplants (Kidney and whole / partial Liver), complex Medical, Blood Disorders ? Patient Ratios : o RN : Varies on acuity : 2 : 1, 1 : 1, 1 : 2 ? Required Licensure & Certifications : o RN : BLS, PALS ? Skills required : o EPIC experience, experience with Artic Sun, EVDs, Camino device (ICP and temp monitoring device), Belmont Rapid Infuser, management of critical care vasoactive drip titration, management of invasive lines ART lines / CVP, aseptic and sterile techniques, basic dressing changes, ventilator and trach management, HOFV management, oral / nasal suctioning, g-tube / j-tube management, feeding tubes, chest tubes, epidurals, PCAs, sedation and analgesic drip management, Foley insertion and management, Alaris & Medfusion pump management, bedside procedures with providers, discharge skills, CRRT experience o Ability / Competency to float to Pediatric CVICU discussed during interview ? The combination of the 2 Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays, and Mondays can be grouped together or worked separately as long as those eight (8) shifts occur within the 6-week period o No call for travelers, if the PICU cannot utilize them, they may be floated to PCVICU, Peds Progressive, NICU or general Peds units within LCH o Holiday Expectations : Travelers will work 75% of holidays, Unit requirement is the eve and day of every other holiday while contracted o RTO : Manager approval o Shift times : 0645 1915, 1845 - 0715 o Schedule cycle : every 6 weeks ?
