PositionObjective :
Performs routine and complex M RI procedures in accordance with established safety and quality standards and the special needs of patients.
EssentialJobDuties :

1.Processes MR I scansequences; verifiesdemographicsand technical information;checks technicalquality of images.
2.Participatesasamemberofaspecializedmedicalteaminperformingspecialized MR I scansofvariousorgansandin preparing patients for specific procedures. Reviews pathology, surgical, and other reports to monitor patient progressand provideameansforevaluatingtheaccuracyof MR I examinations.
3.Constantly assesses patient's condition and administers first aid as required; assists physicians in cases of adverse reactions or emergencies.
4. Confers with the Supervisor to recommend changes, report problems and provide feedback on improving patient care, technical quality and clerical functions.
5.Monitors equipmentperformanceand reportsproblems to the Manager; recordsmalfunctionsas required.
Educational / ExperienceRequirements :
Successfulcompletion of aone-yearaccreditedprogramin MRI Technology orARRT MRI certification
Currentwith Continuing Medical Education (CME) requirements
RequiredLicense / Certifications :
CurrentStateof Maryland Licensure (preferred)
ARRT (MRI) or ARMIRT (required)
American HeartAssociation HealthcareProviderBLS (required)
