About The Position

Job Title : Registered Nurse - Emergency Room

Profession : RN (Registered Nurse)

Shift : 12-Hour Nights

Hours per Shift : 36 hours per week

License : Required

Certifications : BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, NIHSS

Must-Have :

• Experience in an Emergency Room setting
• Ability to float to other facilities as needed
• Strong assessment skills

Description :

The Emergency Room is a Level IV facility with a focus on cardiac and stroke care.

There are a total of 32 beds, including two trauma bays and two seclusion rooms.

The department averages 125-150 patients per day.

Patients seen include general ER cases, stroke, major trauma, and transfer pediatric patients if admitted.

Clinical Profile Review and an interview will be conducted by the management team.

Nurse-to-patient ratios range from 1 : 4 to 1 : 5, depending on patient acuity.

The electronic medical record system used is EPIC.

Charge nurses evaluate staffing needs and attempt to manage the workload effectively.

A security officer is present in the ER at all times, along with ED techs and EMTs for additional support.

The department relies on a team of RNs and ED techs for lab draws and patient care.

Pharmacy services are available 24 / 7, with dedicated support during peak hours.

Nurses are required to monitor central telemetry and be able to interpret heart rhythm strips.

Candidates with triage experience will be required to complete a triage assessment if selected for that role.

Floating to other facilities within the region may occur based on staffing needs.
