Patient Services Specialist – Hybrid Role
Department : Front Office | Reports to : Patient Services Manager
We’re seeking a Patient Services Specialist to join our team in a hybrid role—primarily focused on in-person check-in / out duties, with occasional phone coverage as needed. This role is key in creating a welcoming, efficient front desk experience and supporting overall patient satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities :
Greet and assist patients at check-in and check-out
Verify insurance and collect co-pays / balances
Schedule appointments and maintain accurate records
Occasionally provide phone coverage : triage calls, schedule, and assist patients
Qualifications :
Medical office or ophthalmology experience preferred
Strong communication, organization, and customer service skills
Familiarity with EMRs, Microsoft Office, and multi-line phone systems
Some college or degree preferred
