Utility Infrastructure Foreman

Performs inspection, maintenance, and / or restoration of utility infrastructure. Responsible for the direct supervision of field crews while planning, organizing, and coordinating daily field operations for various job types. Must be at least 21 years of age. Responsibilities include performing work according to standard work practices, maintaining good customer and public relations, hiring, training, motivating, and supervising a crew, managing daily work and crew to meet goals, operating vehicles to transport material, equipment, and crew, collecting, recording, and submitting data, promoting and enforcing safety, maintaining vehicles, equipment, and tools, and enforcing and complying with company and / or customer-required policies and procedures.

Education and / or experience required : high school diploma or general education degree (GED); possess some specialized training or at least three (3) months of related work experience. Must successfully complete a three (3) to eight (8) week Foreman Training Program. Must possess a valid state driver's license with no DUI / DWI convictions within the previous five (5) years. Ability to maintain First Aid and CPR certifications. May be required to obtain a state pesticide applicator license and pass a DOT medical exam. Technical skills include effective communication, reading and following maps, understanding and following complex procedures and specifications, utilizing a handheld data collection device, and strong computer skills.

Physical demands include standing, walking, sitting, reaching, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, talking, hearing, lifting, and moving up to 50 pounds and occasionally up to 100 pounds. Work environment includes handling and / or applying preservatives, coatings, and / or other chemical substances, working in outdoor conditions, exposure to energized electrical equipment, and moderate to loud noise levels.
