The 365-bed facility is one of the largest free-standing psychiatric hospitals in the United States. We are located on a serene 37-acre campus in northeast Shelby County, serving as the setting for the treatment for children, adolescents, young adults, adults and seniors. Lakeside’s comprehensive programs treat disorders such as bipolar disorder, psychological trauma, depression and anxiety, mental illness and addictive disease disorders such as alcoholism, drug addiction and substance abuse.
Job Description
The Financial Counselor is responsible for the initial financial collections. The Financial Counselor balances customer comfort and ease with the organization’s operating needs and financial goals and in a manner that is consistent with the philosophy and objectives of Lakeside Behavioral Health System.

Job Requirements
Education : Bachelors Degree required, preferably in Accounting, Finance or Business.
Experience : Prefer 3 years of finance, general accounting, accounts receivable, and collections experience. Prior healthcare experience strongly preferred.
Knowledge : Prefer knowledge of general accounting, accounts receivable, and collections. Knowledge and skills working with computerized accounting systems required.
