- Duties
- Collaborate closely with families to plan personalized funeral services, including selecting caskets, urns, and memorial options.
- Coordinate logistics for funeral ceremonies, including venue setup, transportation, and scheduling to ensure seamless execution.
- Provide bereavement support by offering compassionate guidance and emotional reassurance to grieving families throughout the entire process.
- Oversee the preparation of bodies, including sanitation, cosmetology, and dissection procedures when necessary, ensuring respectful handling at all times.
- Manage heavy lifting involved in transporting caskets and equipment safely and efficiently.
- Conduct detailed documentation of all arrangements, legal paperwork, and records in compliance with regulatory standards.
- Maintain a clean and sanitary environment within the funeral home, adhering to health and safety protocols.
- Offer additional services such as sales of memorial products or pre-arranged funeral plans to meet families’ needs effectively.
- Skills
- Strong knowledge of physiology and human anatomy to handle body preparation with professionalism and respect.
- Excellent customer service skills with an ability to communicate clearly, empathetically, and professionally in sensitive situations.
- Experience in funeral directing, event planning, or related roles that involve coordinating complex logistics smoothly.
- Proficiency in sanitation practices to uphold hygiene standards within the facility.
- Ability to perform cosmetology tasks for body preparation when required.
- Familiarity with dissection techniques for body handling or embalming processes.
- Physical strength and stamina for heavy lifting tasks involved in transporting caskets or equipment.
- Competence in providing bereavement support that offers comfort and guidance during difficult times.
