As a Full-Time Registered Nurse (RN) in the Cath Lab at Minden Medical Center, you can expect a dynamic and engaging work environment where patient care is at the forefront. What matters most

To be successful in the Full-Time Registered Nurse (RN) Cath Lab position at Minden Medical Center, candidates should possess a blend of critical nursing skills and technical expertise. A strong foundation in critical care nursing-ideally, four years of experience-is preferred, as it enables you to respond effectively to emergencies and manage complex patient needs. Prior experience in a Cath Lab or similar special procedures is highly desirable, as familiarity with interventional procedures will enhance your confidence and performance. Proficiency in the necessary software and tools used in the Cath Lab environment is essential. You must hold current AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, and certifications in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), and Basic Arrhythmia Course or proof of competency are required within 90 days of employment.

Additionally, strong communication and de-escalation skills are crucial for ensuring patient safety and comfort.

Knowledge and skills required for the position are :

• Four years of critical care nursing preferred; prior Cath Lab or special procedures experience desirable.
• AHA BLS required.
• ACLS, PALS, Basic Arrhythmia Course or proof of competency, and De-Escalation required within 90 days of employment
