For a limited time MaineHealth is offering sign on bonuses for Medical Assistants :

• 0-1 years of experience eligible for $4,000 (full time)
• 1+ years of experience eligible for $5,000 (full time)
• Eligible candidates are hired (offer accepted) into a Full or Part time MA position. Bonus amount prorated for Part time hires, per diem hires are ineligible.
• Current MaineHealth member employees are ineligible; former MaineHealth Members are ineligible until greater than 6 months separation from employment.

Workwell, a dynamic, Occupational Health practice is seeking a Medical Assistant who can "go with the flow", multi-task, and fill in where needed. The position is mainly clinical : hair, urine and drug testing (would get certified), as well as completing screenings (such as vision, hearing, lift capacity) prior to patients seeing providers. Phlebotomy experience is a definite plus!

This position is for the Biddeford office - but travel to Sanford may be required on occasion for training or to cover if needed.

Our offices are open 5 days per week, 7 : 30am - 4 : 00pm, no weekends.

Summary : The Medical Assistant - Occupational Health role assists the physician / advanced practice practitioner in the care and treatment of patients, promotes a smooth flow of patients through the office and helps to create a calm, supportive atmosphere.

Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)

1. Education : Graduate from a two year accredited college in Medical Assisting or Certification from the AAMA or AMT or NHA required 2. License / Certifications : See Education. Current BLS Certification required or must obtain within 30 days of start date. 3. Experience : One year of experience as Medical Assistant in a medical office preferred. Experience in Occupational Health practice preferred. 4. Additional Skills / Requirements Required : N / A 5. Additional Skills / Requirements Preferred : N / A
