Description :

On-call information :

There are end-of-shift short call shifts which are end-of-shift until 7 PM and end-of-shift until 9 PM.

These shifts are split amongst all RNs and usually average about one a week.

Additionally, Friday and Saturday night shifts from 7 PM to 7 AM are also split amongst all RNs, averaging about 1-2 overnights every six weeks.

The position does not float.

Unit information :

The operating room has 10 ORs licensed for 330 beds.

There are approximately 50 staff members.

Day shift RNs, surgical techs, and unit assistants are included in the team.

Patient ratios are 1 : 1.

Equipment includes DaVinci Robot, Endovascular Suite, Neurospine microscope, and hysteroscopy pump.

The electronic medical record system used is Altera.

Typical hiring profile :

Experience in orthopedics, robotics, gynecology, urology, vascular, endovascular, and basic cranial / neuro procedures is essential.

The best personality fit is someone who works hard and plays nicely.

Assigned stay-late call during the week and Friday / Saturday overnights will occur occasionally.

Holidays are on an as-needed basis.
