Join our Electrical Products R&D team in Peachtree Corners, GA and help bring the next generation of power distribution and protection technologies to life. Each day, you’ll translate ideas into proven hardware that keeps homes and industries powered safely and efficiently.
A day in this role
- Assemble and configure test setups, execute experiments, capture data, and document results for a variety of electrical products.
- Validate “smart,” processor-based electronic circuit breakers for residential use.
- Evaluate energy and temperature monitoring devices for industrial environments.
- Support connected home and connected world solutions through hands-on lab work.
- Troubleshoot and repair test fixtures and prototypes with guidance from development and test engineers.
- Run compliance tests against UL, CSA, FCC, and other regulatory standards; collaborate with standards representatives when required.
- Build and rework prototypes, including fine-pitch soldering and assembly (BGA included).
- Analyze field returns to uncover root cause and feed insights back to design teams.

What you bring Basic qualifications
Associate’s degree in Electrical Engineering Technology (or equivalent).3+ years working with digital and analog electronics, including power electronics.Hands-on proficiency with lab instruments : network analyzers, oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, and digital multimeters.Prototype construction and fine-pitch soldering skills, including BGA rework.Comfort with Windows and Linux environments; strong general computer literacy.Ability to provide field support when needed.Knowledge of AC electrical wiring and safe work practices.Proficiency with Microsoft Office.Legally authorized to work in the United States on a continual and permanent basis without company sponsorshipPreferred qualifications
5+ years as a hands-on technician within an R&D environment.Experience working across component, product, and system levels.IPC certification.Background training peers in R&D or manufacturing settings.Experience with at least one software programming language.Tools and technologies you may use
