For more than 45 years, my client has been providing tax preparation, business planning, financial reporting services, and personal financial planning. We have a varied client base that requires no overnight travel and no auditing. We are currently seeking a *Staff Accountant*

All the relevant skills, qualifications and experience that a successful applicant will need are listed in the following description.

CPA and one to three + of experience are preferred but will consider candidates with both more and less experience who display the necessary skills and attributes for success.

• Essential Job Duties include*:
• Prepare and review tax computations for 1040, 1120, 1120S, and 1065 and complete returns
• Prepare and review tax plans
• Prepare monthly bookkeeping
• Prepare bank reconciliations
• Prepare and maintain payroll records
• Prepare compiled and reviewed financial statements
• Maintain client depreciation schedules
• Remain up-to-date on current tax laws, technology, and software programs
• Maintain client contacts, assist clients with accounting questions as they arise, and provide exceptional client service

It is anticipated the Staff Accountant will average 50-60 hours per week during the period January 2 - April 15 and 24-32 hours per week during the period April 16 - December 31.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree (B.A.) in accounting, finance, or related field or two to four years related experience and/or training.
• Ability to effectively communicate with clients and staff

Preferred Qualifications

• Licensed as a Certified Public Accountant (CPA)
• Experience with accounting and tax software
