Job Details

• Board Certified Pediatrician
• 247 coverage with 16 hours of on call responsibilities
• 8 hours in house per day (8 : 30 AM-4 : 30 PM)
• 8-15 newborns per day and 0-2 peds pts per day
• Call responsibilities include Nurse phone consultations, potential admissions from the ED, and attending high-risk deliveries or stabilizing sick newborns (calls come from Nurses and . / or ER doctors- not from parents)
• APRN support 3 days a week and CRNA is available 24 / 7 for epidurals and urgent / emergent C-sections
• 90% of inpatient duties involve managing newborns, including nursery coverage.
