RPS Benefits By Design, Inc is seeking a Benefits Consultant to maintain strong client relationships. The Benefits Consultant is responsible for generating new business opportunities and expanding our client base by selling group employee benefits solutions. This role requires a driven, consultative sales professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about helping employers navigate the complex world of benefits. As a team member, you will drive positive change, deliver exceptional customer experiences, and make a meaningful impact.
The ideal candidate is an enthusiastic team player with strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to prioritize work in a fast-paced environment. To be successful in this role, the candidate should be motivated by goals, demonstrate a strong track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets and must be comfortable meeting with clients face-to-face to build relationships and close deals. This is an in-office role based in Overland Park, KS.
What You Will Do :
- Responsible for selling additional lines and growing their book of business to meet the targets provided by the
company
Advise clients on their benefit plan options and rates to collaboratively develop strategies for coverageAnalyze options that best suit the client's needsProvide accurate and timely responses to client issuesConduct open enrollment meetings for clients to educate employees on benefits plansSupport the implementation or transition of new or existing lines of coverage by assisting with account setup,collecting necessary documentation, and reviewing plan details with the client and relevant carrier
Gather information from clients to assist in underwriting or plan renewal processesAnalyze quotes from carriers to determine appropriate recommendations for clientsNegotiate coverage and services that match client needsAssess and interpret claims experience for the clientResponsible for making all benefit recommendationsResponsible for selling additional lines and growing their book of business to meet the targets provided by thecompany
What You Need To Be Successful :
High school diploma required; Bachelor's Degree preferred and / or years of experience equivalentMinimum 2+ years of successful B2B sales experience, preferably in insurance, employee benefits, or HRservices
Good knowledge of employee benefits plansStrong written and verbal communication skillsExcellent Customer Service and Organizational skillsExcellent proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Powerpoint, and ExcelMust be able to work in a fast-paced environmentSelf-motivated, driven, goal-oriented, with a high sense of urgencyWork with little or no supervisionEnergetic, flexible, collaborative, and proactive; an individual who can professionally and positively impact bothinternal, as well as external clients and customers.
