Basic Function :

Under the supervision of the Regional Director of the California Reading and Literature Project, the CRLP Teacher Leader's responsibilities may include, but are not limited to, delivering professional learning in literacy and language development to teachers at open institutes, workshops, and / or designated school districts / sites. This work includes planning and presenting, facilitating workshops, coaching review sessions, and planning collaboratively with other CRLP Teacher Leaders. Teacher leaders may also plan and teach summer camp sessions for local area students.

Representative Duties :

• Prepare and present signature programs at open institutes and workshops
• Prepare and present review sessions & coaching sessions at regional schools and districts
• Prepare and teach summer camps for local students
• Collaborate with other CRLP Teacher Leaders to improve practices

Observe lessons presented by CRLP Teacher Leaders and / or videotape lessons

Minimum Qualifications :

Possession of a master's degree from a graduate institution of recognized standing or equivalent experience and professional recognition.

Physical Abilities :

Manual dexterity of hands and fingers to operate office equipment; speaking to exchange information, provide instruction and make presentations; sitting or standing for extended periods of time; pushing, pulling or lifting light objects; bending and reaching to store and / or retrieve files.

Working Environment :

Institute and workshop settings include on-site at regional district offices and schools & at Cal Lutheran University

Hiring Range $30.50 - $34.50 per hour
