CNC Machinist- Lathe- $1000 Sign-On Bonus

Crane Aerospace and Electronics has an exciting opportunity for a CNC Machinist- Lathe 1st Shift at our Auburn, CA / Vian Enterprises location. Hours are Monday-Friday 7 : 00am-4 : 30pm. We are open to paying a sign-on bonus up to 5k to relocate someone outside of the Bay area. New hires as also eligible for a $1000 sign-on bonus.

Job Summary :

The CNC Machinist produces machined parts by setting up and operating a computer numerical control (CNC) machine, maintaining quality and safety standards, keeping records and maintaining equipment and supplies.

Essential Functions :

• Understand work orders, blueprints, manufacturing orders, and machining parameters
• Validate material used
• Maintain specifications; Troubleshoot, detect malfunctions and take appropriate actions; Know when to replace worn tools
• Listen to machining operation in order to detect sounds such as those made by dull cutting tools or excessive vibration and compensate for problems
• Measure dimensions of finished work pieces to ensure conformance to specifications using precision measuring instruments, templates, fixtures and knowledge of GDT standards
• Maintain continuity among shifts by documenting and communicating actions taken thus far as well as any necessary further steps
• Any other task assigned by supervisor or management

Salary range : $26.32 to $41.41. Several factors contribute to actual salary, including experience in a similar role or performing comparable job responsibilities, skills, training, and other qualifications. Some roles may be eligible for participation in performance-based bonus programs.
