About The Position

Position Description

Perry Avenue Family Medical Center is a trusted community health provider dedicated to delivering comprehensive and compassionate care to patients of all ages. We specialize in a broad spectrum of services, including allergy diagnosis and treatment, and are currently seeking a Nurse Practitioner – Allergy and Immunology to join our collaborative and supportive team.

The Nurse Practitioner will provide expert care for patients with allergic conditions such as seasonal allergies, asthma, eczema, and food / environmental sensitivities. Responsibilities include evaluation, diagnosis, treatment, education, and follow-up care, all in collaboration with supervising physicians and in alignment with established clinical protocols.

Key Responsibilities

Conduct comprehensive allergy assessments, including patient history and physical exams.

Diagnose and manage acute and chronic allergic conditions (e.g., rhinitis, asthma, urticaria, anaphylaxis).

Order, perform, and interpret allergy-related tests (skin testing, blood work, spirometry, etc.).

Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, including allergen immunotherapy.

Educate patients and families on allergen avoidance, medication use, and lifestyle management.

Collaborate with primary care and specialty providers to ensure seamless care.

Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the EMR.

Adhere to infection control and safety protocols.

Participate in quality improvement initiatives and continuing education.

Job Requirements

Requirements

Master’s or Doctoral degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program.

Current Nurse Practitioner license in New York State .

National certification as an NP (FNP, ANP, or equivalent); specialization or experience in Allergy / Immunology strongly preferred.

Minimum 2 years’ clinical NP experience (1+ year in allergy or related field preferred).

BLS certification required; ACLS preferred.

Strong clinical judgment, communication, and organizational skills.
