The Role

Conduct skills assessments of applicants. Instructs and verifies qualifications of newly hired represented employees. Instructs registered apprentices in associated academic classes.

Must Have

3 Years Shipfitting Experience with Bachelor's Degree OR 1 year of Shipfitting Experience with a Master's Degree OR an Ingalls Shipbuilding Shipfitter Apprentice Graduate. A combination of education and experience may be used in lieu of degree.

Nice to Have

Ability to train new hires to obtain shipfitting skills within established timelines. Familiar with work policies and procedures for purposes of maintaining compliance requirements. Ability to work under limited supervision, with little / no instructions needed on routine work. Previous experience as a craft technical facilitator, instructor, or OJT / OJM role. Familiar with company reporting systems (i.e. timekeeping, command media, Outlook, etc).
