Travel Nurse RN - Progressive Care Unit - $2,962 per week in Kalamazoo, MI

Job Title : Registered Nurse Profession : Nursing Specialty : Stepdown Duration : 13 weeks Shift : Night Hours per Shift : 12 hours (19 : 00 - 07 : 30) Experience : 2 years in stepdown or ICU License : Valid state license must be pending Certifications : ACLS, BLS, NIHSS Must-Have : - Previous charge experience (preferred) - Experience with Cerner charting system Description : Position available in a stepdown intermediate care setting. This position requires working night shifts, 4 days per week. Call and weekend coverage may be required. The patient-to-nurse ratio is 4 : 1. The unit has 22 beds and a diverse patient population including adults and geriatrics. Primary patient diagnoses include pneumonia, sepsis, CHF, DK, post-surgical conditions, and stroke. The staffing includes interdisciplinary support such as physical therapy, respiratory services, and pharmacy. Travelers are accepted with a minimum of 2 years of stepdown or ICU experience. BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications are mandatory. Travelers will float as needed to similar units. Candidates must complete necessary modules before starting. Professional conduct is important, and any issues may result in contract termination. Candidates should be prepared to work every other weekend and holiday.
