Board Commissioner-Addison Parks & Recreation Foundation

The Addison Parks & Recreation Foundation is seeking a Commissioner for the Board of Directors to support the foundation's mission of enhancing the Park experience for all Addison Park District residents through tax-deductible donations and fundraising.

The ideal leader would have a strong drive to serve and enhance the community, with experience including fundraising, and sourcing sponsors and donations. In addition, they should have a general understanding of finance and the ability to review, approve, and understand the budgeting process.

The Commissioner's role is vital for leading, enhancing, and raising funds to support the mission and purpose of the Foundation.

The APRF board member does not have to live or work in Addison.

The role includes :

• Acting as an interface between the APRF and the community to make sure the mission is carried out.
• Creating trust and relationships with other donor prospects.
• Participating in fundraising efforts of the APRF.
• Support the APRF in a variety of other ways which include, but are not limited to, volunteering their time on a committee or in a specific role in the APRF.
• Help raise awareness in the community about the APRF mission.
• Open doors to potential sponsors, donors, and volunteers.
• Attending regular Board meetings.
