About the Role
The Company is seeking a Deputy Chief Operating Officer to serve as a primary support to the Chief Operating Officer and to ensure the delivery of programs and services across various departments in an equitable, efficient, and cost-effective manner. The successful candidate will be responsible for refining administrative processes, enhancing systems, and working in collaboration with other Deputy COOs to facilitate operational excellence. This role involves aligning resources, monitoring initiatives, and delivering outcomes in support of the vision and policies set by the management. The Deputy COO will also act as a liaison between the Chief Operating Officer, County Commissioners, and the service delivery departments, and will be involved in agenda preparation, policy recommendations, and ensuring consistent implementation of policies.
Applicants for the Deputy COO position at the company should have a Bachelor's degree (Master's preferred) and a minimum of 10 years' experience in government management, public administration, or a related field. The role requires knowledge of organizational operations and policies, with a preference for experience in human services, public health, social service delivery, justice strategic planning, and resource allocation. Excellent computer skills, advanced technology fluency, and strong interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills are essential. The Deputy COO will also be expected to have the ability to sit, stand, and walk for moderate periods, and to perform physical work that may include reaching, walking, pushing, pulling, and lifting.
